It’s All About the Music…
Music has always been a big part of my life, whether it be private listening, attending concerts, performing with a band, or DJ’ing events. I started out my hobby by DJ’ing events for family and friends for fun, but that morphed into others asking me to DJ their events for money and fun. I have entertained at graduation parties, birthday parties, anniversary parties, school dances, and weddings. In addition, I am the official DJ of “A Night to Shine”, a Prom for people with Special Needs, held every February for at Florence United Methodist.
Since I have DJ’d for people from 10 to 80 years old and my musical tastes span decades and genres, I bring an ability to match the appropriate songs to the audience. I play and appreciated songs from various genres including: Standards, Big Band, Doo Wop, Motown/RnB, Country, Disco, Rock, Hip-Hop, Pop, Line Dances and more.
I have access to a large collection of tunes and work with the client to ensure that I understand your song preferences and what is on your “must play” list and just as importantly your “do not play” list.
My catalog of music is categorized by genre, decade and my own rating system (G, PG, PG13, R), so that I always know what is appropriate or not based on the audience. This is what allows me to work such a variety of events.
I spend many hours preparing the playlist and event schedule in advance of the special occasion and work closely with the client to personalize it. My goal is to ensure that each event is organized, fun, memorable, and a great value for the money.
